Video-Crazy Saturday

Nope, not actually going video crazy. Just thought I’d post some videos I’ve been posting on my Tumblr account here.

Why? Because I like repetitive entries and double-posting. And they’re both my blogs, dammit! :)

Okay.

So I hope you find them funny or amusing, like I did.

This one is how you make people take the stairs instead of the escalator. It’s called The Piano Stairs.

This one is how you make people throw garbage in the right place. It’s the world’s deepest bin.

This is how you make people recycle their bottles

The following funny video has a moral story. Can you tell me what it is?

Th-th-that’s all folks!

Good Luck Me

From “Good Luck Chuck”.

I am the female version of it. 2 out of 5 boyfriends married the girlfriends they had after me. Another one is planning his wedding soon – to his girlfriend after we broke up. And that makes it 3 out 5.

This might be good news to Most Recent Ex. It simply means he might be able to find someone in Dubai who can make him truly happy and be able to love him because of what he can and cannot be. And if that happens, he will be the fourth.

Yes, I’m feeling a little loser-ish. I convince myself that the reason why I haven’t stayed with any of these 5 guys is because they weren’t for me. Or maybe they were but we just couldn’t make it work due to immaturity from both sides. Of course, I can’t convince myself all the time. Sometimes, I concede that it may be wholly my fault and sometimes I think it’s wholly their fault.

But the good news for me is that I will totally get a hot husband (as in male version of Cam played by Jessica Alba in the movie) in the future. This future hot husband will totally kick all ex-boyfriends’ ass when it comes to looks and smarts and humor and loyalty and commitment to moi.

Lord, please haste the day I meet this totally hot future husband so I get to be with him soon.

To future husband: just so you know, we’re totally getting a maid because I know nil about house chores except for cooking rice in the kaldero and washing dishes. And unless you want unclean and unironed clothes, to eat carbonara and paksiw na lechon and/or take out everyday of your life with me, you will totally think that it’s a great idea to have a maid. :) Plus, think of all the fun things better done than chores. LOL.

Blah Blah Blah

This is going to be a nonsense post. So please, if you don’t wanna waste time, move on to another blog. Come back when I have something that interests you.

So I went to Humana today for my medical exam as required by my new employer. Met a cute, tall guy who spied that I was pretty much holding the same permit slip he was holding. No introductions were done. He’s going to be an agent and will start his 2-month, 100K-bond worth of training by Monday. He seemed straight. When he started talking to me, I just pretty much answered his questions but his cuteness got me distracted from the text message I was composing.

He was sweet too, or well, chivalrous. When he saw that there were no chairs left for me to sit on while waiting for out turn at the drug testing center, he came over to where I was standing and said that I should take his seat. I politely refused and thanked him. He insisted and another chair became vacant. So I suggested we take our seats. Unfortunately, someone beat him to one of the seats and he was left standing.

As soon as I was done, I noticed he was still sitting in the waiting area. I asked him if he was done and he said that he wasn’t done with the medical history and check up thing, which I found weird because there was a good five-minute wait between us when we were first called for our medical check up and he was called first. Plus he was called first for the drug test. So I said that I’ll be leaving and he said “Ingats”. I doubt I’ll be seeing him around the new company. I don’t even know his name. Not interested too. I think recent ex-boyfriend made me realize that everyone really has baggage and that it is possible to not see your special someone for 30 days at a time even if you work for the same company.

And somewhere in between the whole story above, I got a little of my pee on my shirt. Stupid cup slipped. Good thing the whole thing didn’t spill or else I’d have to wait until I needed to pee before getting out of there. And, it would’ve been HUMILIATING to have to explain how my shirt got wet.

Grabbed an Army/Navy lunch. Tried to make a friend jealous of my lunch, but he didn’t care, so that obviously backfired. I got a breakfast burrito and some onion rings. The breakfast burrito wasn’t as good as the steak burrito I had the first time. After realizing that my meal was both fattening and artery clogging, I got me some Bo’s Hot Tea. Rainforest and Lemon something. It’s really good. I carried that around with me while I was scouting Glorietta for the most affordable iPod Touch. Almost bought a 4th generation 32 GB iPod touch. I wasn’t that excited to get it. Probably because it had no radio feature. And I want a radio feature just in case I get tired of more than 900 songs in my collection. I didn’t buy one obviously but as I was driving home, I was regretting my decision a little.

Oh well.

So, I’ll probably start working on the 25th, the day when my parents are gonna be home the whole day. Makes me sometimes wish that I was working for a regular company and not in the BPO industry. But seeing my paycheck makes it almost worth it. :) Anyway, with me working soon, I hope to have updates on my favorite shows still and more importantly, I hope to be able to update this blog regularly, if not everyday.

TV: Glee: Duets

So who didn’t love “Duets”? I mean, seriously.

Noticeable, of course, was the absence of Puck, more than the absences of Emma, Sue and Beiste in this episode.

I loved Rachel and Finn’s version of “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” but loved “River Deep, Mountain High” more by Santana and Mercedes. I was almost left speechless marveling at Santana’s voice and wondering why she didn’t sing more songs in Season 1.

Artie almost looked scared of Brittany before she carried him out of the wheelchair and onto the bed.

Artie: Is this the part where you take my virginity?

Brittany: Before we duet, we do it.

Funny.

Great number by Mike and Tina. A fitting song too, though I can’t help but think that Harry might’ve faked not being able to sing as well. But then again, it was just really great to “hear” him perform and not just see him do his stuff. I’m just really happy that he was finally able to get his “break-out” role. :)

Great chemistry, I think, for Sam and Quinn. Loved their date scene. That’s right. A gentleman always pays for the first date.

Felt really sad Brittany. The scene where she’s pushing a meatball with her nose like on Disney’s “The Lady and the Tramp” was so…poignant.

All in all, the episode tackled sexuality (Brittany/Santana, Artie/Brittany and Kurt/Sam but not so much) and all the other stuff teens go through.

Great episode come back from “Grilled Cheesus”. I’m looking forward to the next episode. It’s supposed to be a theme episode in time for Halloween. I hope it’s good.

Harry Shum Jr. & Jenna Ushkowitz Duets Teaser

Here’s the video:

Don’t be fooled by the cover. It’s Harry and Jenna who talk mainly about this teaser.

I can’t wait to see Harry perform, in as what Heather says, his break-out role.

Lazy Tuesday

Sometimes, on days like these, I wish my family had more money so that I didn’t have to go to interviews and job offers because I didn’t have to go to work in order to help out my family in its household expenses.

Yes, I am a lazy MFB.

Let me tell you all an interesting story. When I loved my job at my former company, I would refrain from being absent. And even if I was on sick leave, I would still call to check up on them and the reports they were covering for me.

Then, I started to get burnt out.

Then, I sometimes wished that I’d get into a MINOR car accident (something that would require bed rest and NOT confinement at the hospital) just so I could skip work with a valid reason for a few consecutive days.

Then I started to look for opportunities. Then I quit.

Some of you might be thinking “This is one crazy girl. She must not have any friends, let alone a boyfriend”.

Yes, I am crazy. And no I didn’t. They came much later…around the time I started to look for opportunities. Real friends are hard to find in a world where you feel like you’re part of the team, but not really. Good thing Charls came along, as well as our other friends (who unfortunately do not have blogs, therefore no need for mentioning them). Boyfriend? Well, let’s just say, he’s the most absent boyfriend and wasn’t there for me when I needed some cheering up. And yes, he reads this blog sometimes. And because he reads this blog, I will be fair and say that he is present when I need him as a friend. Recently, he rescued me from dealing with the big, bad city while I was being a damsel-without-a-car-who-didn’t-know-her-way-around-the-metro-through-commuting. And for that, I appreciate him.

More boyfriend-bashing stories on my personal blog. Oh, wait. You all have no access to that. *Evil laugh*

Music Monday: Joan Osborne: What If God Was One Of Us?

I remember yesterday’s message during Church Service. God wants us to be saved. There was more but I think that’s the essence of it.

Oh, and a great verse from Paulo Coelho from his book, The Fifth Mountain.

God is all-powerful. If He limited Himself to doing only that which we call good, we could not call him the Almighty; He would only command one part of the universe, and there would exist someone more powerful than He, watching and judging his acts.

Makes sense right?

Plus, I’ve been so bothered about Glee’s “Grilled Cheesus” episode. AND this atheist guy on Tumblr. Man! I mean I think of myself as pretty open-minded and think that some posts by atheists make sense. I think atheists are know-it-alls. But this guy…yes, he’s smart but sometimes, his posts are perverse that I almost cringe when I see he has posts on Tumblr.

Anyway, a question I would like to ask atheists is “What if God was one of us?” I know they don’t believe in God but will they believe when they finally see?

And to the believer, “What if God was one of us?” Got any particular thing to say to Him?

Regretful Thoughts On A Hot & Humid Night

I need to get off Facebook. Seriously.

Sometimes, I worry and get stressed about being 27 and boyfriend-less. And I worry about my career – if I’m making the right choices or if I’m unknowingly making the wrong ones.

I know I have some hang-ups. Sometimes, I worry about those too, wondering if I’m doing enough to make sure that my past doesn’t affect my present and my future.

When I think about it, I think it all began in high school. I may have been sort of bullied. And it may have been my fault even. I wanted to be liked by the popular kids. And I think that was a big mistake. High school is definitely something I’d re-do if I had the chance to and change A LOT of things.

And I hated high school so much that I don’t have any plans on attending any reunions.

College was fun. Met friends who would turn out to be my closest friends even up to now. College is something I’d like to re-do just because it was fun.

If I knew then what I knew now, I probably would’ve done things differently. I sometimes wonder how those choices that I could’ve made would affect my life today.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m pretty happy and I feel blessed.

I just think I could’ve made better decisions and better choices. And I sincerely hope and pray that I will make better decisions starting today.

The Vampire Diaries: Kill Or Be Killed

Loved the scene wherein Stefan was feeding on Elena’s blood.

All it takes is a couple of drops of human blood every day to make him stronger and be able defeat Katherine.

Super major surprise: Mason wants the moon stone so he can give it to Katherine. They make out after Mason gives the moon stone to her.

So the bigger question is: After giving the moon stone to the Lockwoods in 1864, why does she want it back now?

Unfortunately, we won’t know more until October 21st.

Oh well.

TV: Glee: Grilled Cheesus

Didn’t like this episode.

I thought it was trying to be “deep” but I don’t think it translates. To me, at least.

I was uncomfortable the whole time. I particularly wasn’t happy about Finn praying to a “Grilled Cheesus”. There’s just something wrong there.

Yes, I am a Christian. And no, I’m not the type to ram my faith down anyone’s throat. I can’t exactly express why and how but “Grilled Cheesus” offended me a bit.

The singing wasn’t as great and MAY BE the worst ever since the show began.

But that’s just my honest and humble opinion.
