Nope, not actually going video crazy. Just thought I’d post some videos I’ve been posting on my Tumblr account here.

Why? Because I like repetitive entries and double-posting. And they’re both my blogs, dammit! :)

TV: Glee: Duets

So who didn’t love “Duets”? I mean, seriously.

Noticeable, of course, was the absence of Puck, more than the absences of Emma, Sue and Beiste in this episode.

I loved Rachel and Finn’s version of “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” but loved “River Deep, Mountain High” more by Santana and Mercedes. I was almost left speechless marveling at Santana’s voice and wondering why she didn’t sing more songs in Season 1.

Artie almost looked scared of Brittany before she carried him out of the wheelchair and onto the bed.

Artie: Is this the part where you take my virginity?

Brittany: Before we duet, we do it.

Funny.

Great number by Mike and Tina. A fitting song too, though I can’t help but think that Harry might’ve faked not being able to sing as well. But then again, it was just really great to “hear” him perform and not just see him do his stuff. I’m just really happy that he was finally able to get his “break-out” role. :)

Great chemistry, I think, for Sam and Quinn. Loved their date scene. That’s right. A gentleman always pays for the first date. 

Felt really sad Brittany. The scene where she’s pushing a meatball with her nose like on Disney’s “The Lady and the Tramp” was so…poignant.

All in all, the episode tackled sexuality (Brittany/Santana, Artie/Brittany and Kurt/Sam but not so much) and all the other stuff teens go through.

Great episode come back from “Grilled Cheesus”. I’m looking forward to the next episode. It’s supposed to be a theme episode in time for Halloween. I hope it’s good.

 

 

Lady Gaga’s Meat Dress

I saw something that curbed my appetite.

Men might find this attractive. Vegans might find it revolting. As for me, not a vegan, find this a little icky. Disturbing even. Not sexy at all.

I have to admit that the meat seem to be prime and lean cuts. Would probably be great for my mom’s beefsteak.

Does anyone like this picture? I can’t believe Vogue is running this picture. I don’t think the meat dress will ever be fashionable.

And I found Lady Gaga’s other meat dress, the one that she actually wore at the MTV Video Music Awards.

I bet she was smelly. I bet Cher wasn’t too excited about giving Lady Gaga a hug. Haha!

 

Hello Sunday Webcomics

So it’s another Sunday.

I’m really a bit worried because I’m losing interest in maintaining this blog. It’s as if I’ve run out of things to say. So if you have suggestions on what I should cover on this blog, please let me know.

Mac Versus PC and South Park on Facebook

Off-topic introduction:

I had a phone interview last night at around 1:30 AM. It was a pretty good interview if I must say so myself. Anyway, after calling my former officemates to catch up with them, I ended up back on my computer and on Youtube.

I came across the famous Mac versus PC ads. I first became aware of these ads while I was in the States.

I haven’t had a Mac and I hear that it’s tons better especially if you’re into graphic arts. And I read somewhere that it’s less prone to virus attacks because the Mac OS has a Unix system which blocks out the virus even before it affects the system. Dunno if that’s true though.

So here’s a compilation of Mac versus PC ads that I found interesting. And the last video will be of South Park saying “F**k you Facebook”

Sunday is Web Comics Day

So, it’s a Sunday. And like clockwork, I’ve already read the funnies in today’s paper. I’ve just finished getting my web comics fix today. And here are some I liked.

Friday Flick: The Sorcerer’s Apprentice

I just saw “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” yesterday and I liked it but I don’t think it’ll make my Must Buy DVD list.


Without giving too much away (which I probably will), the plot revolves about, well, the initially reluctant sorcerer’s apprentice. Balthazar Blake (Nicholas Cage) is the sorcerer while Dave Stutler (Jake Cherry) is the nerdy looking apprentice who just loves physics.


Of course, there’s a love angle. And some fight scenes. Oh, and of course, a really cool chase scene (only because it involved mirrors). The movie was mostly funny, not really magical.
Oh, and plasma balls. I almost expected Ryu and Ken from Street Fighter to pop into the scene. Hadouken!


Anyway, the scene that I absolutely loved (but could still use some sort of improvement. What kind? I don’t know) is the Fantasia scene integrated into the movie. I think the movie paid homage to the original Disney sorcerer’s apprentice.

Sunday Comics

I don’t know where you’re from BUT where I’m from, dailies had something special every Sunday – comics!

And since, well, I strive to keep up this blogging daily, I thought “Why not put in comics every Sunday?” Genius, right? (Uh-huh).

So anyway, here’s what I scrounged up on the web. These are my usual favorites introduced to me by Charls:

I included this video for the Cyanide & Happiness since today is the first time I became aware that they made an animated short.

Will upload more comics next week. Maybe I’ll include Calvin and Hobbes. Hopefully, I find some old-school Archie comics to post here.

Btw, I will say my disclaimer now. In case any of you find my humor a little sick or disturbing, please don’t leave any nasty comments. My so-called sick humor is still way more tame than someone else’s.

Quitting Your Job

We’ve all quit one job or another. And if you haven’t, well, poor you. Either you’re really happy at work (and in this case, good for you) or you’re just not into looking for improvements in your work life.

You’ve probably heard the whole Steven Slater debacle. He quit work during work because of an argument he had with somebody at work.

What we imagine doing at work at point or another, he actually did. He said something along the lines of “Everyone, go fuck yourselves. I quit”.

So in honor of everyone who thought of quitting their job in a creative manner, here’s something I found on the internet and I hope you like it.
