While I am aware of the issue, I must admit I haven’t been actively reading on the issues at hand and I don’t really know much to begin with.
I am glad that Gladstone wrote an article explaining the facts. Read the article here: 3 Reasons The “Ground Zero Mosque Debate” Makes No Sense.
In the article, he called Sarah Palin the “future worst President of America” because of slamming the supporters of the Islamic Community.
Just by reading point number 1 in the article, you’ll see how the debate shouldn’t be happening at all. I especially liked the point that he made when he made point number 3 and said
You can’t simultaneously acknowledge a right and insist that your government suppress it.
I just hope a lot of Americans get to read his article and just let the Muslims build their community center several blocks away from Ground Zero. Here’s a copy of the map on Gladstone’s article:
A few inches on paper could mean several blocks/feet/miles/kilometers away from the actual site. Thus, rendering the debate unnecessary.
So if any of you Americans out there somewhere happen to land on this blog, please take time to read the article by Gladstone. Or not. Just please always try to make an educated decision – meaning, it’s not enough to be just informed. You have to verify your information, hear both sides of the story and then deciding on what to do.
